What are “Missed Opportunities” and How Are They Used?
Understanding and retargeting unengaged members
In the Pulsate Opportunities Engine, “Missed Opportunities” highlights members who did not respond to or dismissed previous campaigns. These are individuals who were within your target audience but chose not to engage at the time.
A “Missed Opportunity” is essentially a segment of your members that:
- Were targeted in a past campaign.
- Dismissed or ignored the message.
- Did not take the intended action.
Instead of losing these members entirely, the engine categorizes them as opportunities for re-engagement.
The Opportunities Engine helps financial institutions (FIs) act on these insights by:
- Identifying non-responders: Automatically surfacing which members didn’t engage.
- Creating retargeting audiences: Allowing you to build follow-up campaigns specifically designed for this group.
- Improving message relevance: Giving you a second chance to refine the message, timing, or channel.
For example, if a member ignored a credit card promotion, the FI could retarget them with a more tailored message—perhaps offering a different benefit or incentive that better fits their needs.
